This Privacy Policy describes how The Praxels ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our applications and services, including SystemCraft on Android, iOS, and web (collectively, the "Service"). - Account information: When you sign in with Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture as provided by Google. We do not receive your Google password.
- Usage and progress data: Articles read, quiz answers submitted, recall scores, streaks, completion counts, and timestamps of in-app activity.
- Subscription and billing information: Subscription status, plan type (free, monthly, annual), and purchase confirmation from Google Play or the Apple App Store. We do not store payment card numbers — all billing is processed by the respective platform or Razorpay.
- Device and technical data: Operating system, app version, device type, and anonymous crash/error logs collected to diagnose problems and improve stability.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Deliver the Service — including personalised content, AI-generated quizzes, and progress tracking.
- Verify and manage your subscription status.
- Improve the product by analysing aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.
- Send you service-related communications (e.g., subscription confirmation emails).
- Respond to your support requests and inquiries.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or share it with third-party advertisers.
3. AI-Generated Content
The recall quiz questions and feedback you receive are generated by Anthropic's Claude AI model. Your quiz responses may be sent to Anthropic's API as part of generating graded feedback. Anthropic processes this data under its own privacy policy and does not use API inputs to train its models by default. We do not associate your quiz answers with your personal identity when sending them to the AI API.
4. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on the following third-party platforms, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Google OAuth: Used for authentication. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Play: Handles subscription billing on Android. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Apple App Store: Handles subscription billing on iOS. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Razorpay: Handles payment processing on the web platform. Governed by Razorpay's Privacy Policy.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): Hosts our backend infrastructure, databases, and file storage. Data is stored in the AWS ap-south-1 (Mumbai) region. Governed by AWS's Privacy Policy.
- Anthropic: Powers AI recall quiz generation and grading. Governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on AWS infrastructure in the ap-south-1 (Mumbai, India) region. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encrypted connections (TLS) for all data in transit.
- Encrypted database storage.
- Access controls limiting who within our team can access user data.
- Secrets managed via AWS Secrets Manager — never hardcoded.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We take reasonable precautions but cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer (e.g., billing records required for tax purposes, which are retained for up to 7 years).
7. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information in your profile.
- Delete your account and associated personal data by contacting us.
- Export your progress data in a machine-readable format upon request.
- Withdraw consent for optional data uses at any time.

8. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for users aged 18 and above and is directed at software engineering professionals and students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us personal data, we will delete it promptly.

We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, through an in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after a change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
